A quote taken from the movie "Almost Famous" -
"Some people have a hard time explaining rock and roll. I don't think anyone can explain Rock n Roll. Rock n Roll is a lifestyle and a way of thinking. And its not about money and popularity. Although some money would be nice. It's a voice that says 'Here I am, and fuck you if you can't understand me.' And one of these people is gonna save the world. And that means that Rock n Roll is gonna save the world. All of us together. What it all comes down to is that thing. That indefinable thing when people catch something from your music. What I'm talking about is the buzz. And the chicks, money, popularity, is an offshoot of the buzz."
This I feel is a very good depiction of the attitude rollerbladers have, and lifestyle that rollerbladers lead. However, this mentality slowly faded away over the years with rock n roll, like rollerblading has the potential to do as well. We are at a crazy time in rollerblading. There are so many possibilities and different places rollerblading can go. Now is the time. Right now it is up to us to lead rollerblading where we want it to go. We can either learn from others mistakes, or we can follow in them. The future is ours...
