- The truth on Rage Software and Rolling The Game:


- There have been a lot of rumors floating around about Rage's financial troubles and Rolling The Game.
- Rage's Bankers decided to discontinue the group's banking facilities on the 13th of January. Rage is currently in administrative receivership since they have some outstanding debts with the bank. The bank has appointed an Administrative Receiver in order to recover money due to the bank. This receiver is appointed the holder of a floating charge covering all or some of Rage's assets. A floating charge is the assignment of Rage's assets as collateral for their debt.
- There is little known about why the bank made the decision since Rage has been working hard to improve their position in the gaming industry. For example, they had just had the launch party for Rocky The Game on the 11th. Rage has also been working on titles such as Lamborghini, Team SAS, and of course Rolling.
- 77 layoffs have left Rage with a remaining staff of 85, but Rage will do everything in its power to save the current games that are in production. Update (Jan 24, 2003): We were just informed that all but 17 people at Rage Software have been laid off and Rage Studios has closed... Read more at GamesIndustry.biz. The producer of Rolling, Kristian Ramsey Jones, was on vacation and came back to find Rage in liquidation. It is very likely that the games will be sold off to other companies. Kris has let us know that they are working on a plan to save the Rolling separate from Rage.
- Karma Concepts has re-launched their website with pictures of their clothing, frames, and grindstones. The frames are machined and available through direct orders only at a price of $55 US.
- Black Fabric has re-launched their website. You can now buy Black clothing online using PayPal. Also they have announced that the team video, "A Staggering Artwork of Heartbreaking Genius" will be available soon.
- Senate has redesigned their website as well. Looks good.
- Skate Barn is hosting the "Barn Burner" contest on Saturday January 25th. This is located in Renton, Washington so don't miss it if you're in the area!
