Haven Skate Company

Haven Skate Company was semi-officially formed by Jeff Sawyer between 1997 and 2000 with a Web Site and a limited batch of silk screened t-shirts. After a short lived attempt at starting a clothing line as a complete unknown to the skating world, Jeff decided to start combining his passions and relauched the Havenskate.com website in a completely different way.

When attempting to sell shirts previously, Jeff couldn't resist but to just spread the word about what Haven was really about and try to motivate kids to skate. He gave away shirts at local skateparks when he'd meet people that shares the same passion for the sport. The name Haven was chosen because it represents a place of refuge or rest - a sanctuary. Jeff always felt that skating was this refuge for him and wanted to share that view with everyone else.

The new Web Site, Havenskate.com, grew rapidly and within a few years it has continued to give everything it produces out freely on the Internet. Jeff created the first Aggressive Inline Skating social documentary, R-Society, in 2002 and distributed it for free on the net.

Havenskate.com is now the home of free rolling event coverage, news, articles, videos, photos and much more.
