Product Updates: New stuff for 2006

Every year around this time, the skate industry floods the shops with a lot of new goodies. Here’s the latest products available now or coming soon. You can consider this your Christmas wishlist.

In the new skate category we have Deshi, Valo and Rollerblade.
The Deshi Colin Kelso Pro skate will be released in the US on November 20th, 2005 and in Europe on November 30th.
This thing weighs in at a very light 1312grams (without frame/wheels). To get the weight down, it seems as though they’ve shaved off small amount of material on the positive soul side.

Also coming in November, Rollerblade has two complete skates they are releasing. Instead of releasing boot only, Rollerblade’s TRS Team 2006 and Downtown 2006 models come complete with the stock Rollerblade UFS frame, 55mm wheels and ABEC 7 bearings. The complete package is something I believe is perfect for the first time skater or for old school rollers that want a great deal for the money and a skate they can ride out right of the box. The skates also feature a new removable/walkable liner.

Not to be outdone, has a new video (link here) up with none other than Jon Julio talking and showing off his new pro skate — the new JJ.1 Valo Skate.

Other than skates, there are also new wheels available from Heat, new clothing from Franco Shade, Valo and Roces. Also, Vinny Minton and Ivan Narez’s Hyphy 2 skate video is to be in stores November 25th.
