is rollerblading on the down hill?!?
(Cookies:2)by captnrollabladz (190) on 2007-04-03 14:18:27ever since rollerblading had been out of the x-games it seems like many more kids are turning to skatboarding and biking rather than rollerblading. I cant go into a sports authority and knowtice that they only carry recreational blade runner skates... we ask our selves what we could do to get more people rolling... when the answer may be hard to achieve but it is also obvious... we need to some how get rollerblading back into the major action sports scene... here is an idea to get this started... call up "nbc" or a big TV channel company to help sponcer a nation wide competation. have it broad casted to every house in america or somthing to that sorts... i have to go to work... ill catch up the rest either late tonight or tomorrow morning...[ Reply To This ]

(Cookies:2)by awesomness101 (239) on 2007-04-09 14:18:29You never find aggressive inline skates at Sports Authority?!?! Cause whenever i go at the end, and the middle, of there rollerblading isle there are some TRS Downtown 3's at the end and some Kids TRS's in the middle, where i live they still have at least 2 pairs of aggressive inlines. Hey, i got an idea, how bout you talk to the manager or somthin' and ask 'em why they don't have any aggressive skates, i don't know why but, i do agree with you that we do need to get aggresive skating back into the scene. Good Luck Skating, awesomness101[ Reply To This ] -

(Cookies:2)by Dark_Soul (2) on 2007-04-17 11:27:27Thanks for the post Captn. I couldn't agree more. No one sees rolling for what it really has become and most people still have this view of people in spandex jumping arms waving down 3 stairs or weaving through cones... these things may take some skill, but it's nothing like a 720 sweaty or triple backflip.. Rollers are killing themselves and amazing stuff is being thrown down -- but if no one sees it, does it matter? It's like the old -- tree falling in a forest thing.[ Reply To This ] -

(Cookies:2)by DELANGUS (151) on 2007-05-30 14:50:01Yeah I always get people who think I skateboard if I say I skate. Then they seem all confused when I explain that I'm a rollerblader because as my friend once put it, they picture some dude in neon casually rolling down the boardwalk. It would be nice to have rollerblading more known to people other than rollerbladers but yet I also kinda, like it being more on the down low as compared to skateboarding.[ Reply To This ]
